ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will take steps to enhance and facilitate tourists visiting the country from Nepal, said Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Managing Director Abdul Ghafoor during a meeting with the Nepalese Ambassador Sewa Lamsal. The PTDC MD informed the ambassador of various attractive features in Pakistan including five of the top 14 highest peaks, picturesque tourist destinations and preserved Buddhist sites. “We are making efforts to ease visa formalities and introduce visa-on-arrival facility for tour groups through designated tour operators including those from Nepal,” he remarked. He identified medical tourism, trekking and mountaineering expeditions as high potential areas and highlighted the similarities in culture, cuisine and interests between the two countries.
