ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to bar the entry of all irrelevant and unauthorised people in its Law Directorate.

The move comes a week after former CDA chairman Karman Lashari had sought access to files pertaining to the building being built on One Constitution Avenue.

“It had been observed with great concern by the authority that certain unauthorized, unidentified people including those involved in litigation with CDA had been visiting various offices within the Law Directorate. This trend could result in a serious breach of official secrecy and discipline, and in some cases missing of files,” read a statement issued by the civic authority on Thursday.

CDA Member Administration Yasir Peerzada said that the Law Directorate was a vital organ of the authority and that performance of the department had a direct impact on the overall performance of the authority.

To ensure strict vigilance and control over people entering the department, CDA Security Director Faheem Badshah has been appointed as the supervisory officer. He would be responsible for ensuring that no unauthorised person is allowed into the department and any violation should be reported to Peerzada.
