ISLAMABAD: The managing director of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has managed to obtain a pre-arrest bail from a sessions court after he was booked for confronting police at Federal Judicial Academy on June 9.

PTDC MD Abdul Ghafoor Khan had been booked by the police after he, and a few others, tried to break the security cordon outside the Federal Judicial Academy on June 9 as the prime minister’s son Hussain Nawaz appeared before the joint investigation team for questioning.

Police said that when they tried to stop Khan and others, they became infuriated and swore at police and allegedly threatened them. Industrial Area police had booked Khan and a few other unidentified people on the complaint of Saddar Circle DSP Ghulam Muhammad Baqir.
