Big achievement: UHS teachers get Young Productive Scientist Award

The award is based on research-related parameters

LAHORE: Three faculty members of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) have been declared Young Productive Scientists of Pakistan by the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST).

UHS Immunology Department’s Assistant Professor Dr Shah Jahan, Physiology and Cell Biology Department’s Assistant Professor Dr Saba Khaliq and Allied Health Sciences Department’s Assistant Professor Dr Asim Pervaiz have been included in the list of total 369 Young Productive Scientists of the country under the age of 40.  They were placed in the Biological Sciences category for the year 2016-17 by.

The award is based on research-related parameters, including authorship of books, PhD research supervision, cumulative impact factor and citations for paper published in impact factor journals, patents granted, awards won and competitive grants.
