PPP invites Jamali to join party
Jamali says he will decide to join or not base on what is best for the country.
JAFFARABAD:
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Tuesday invited former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali to join their party.
PPP provincial president Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani who called on Jamali at his residence in Jaffarabad, invited him to join the party.
Talking to the media, Jamali said that he started his political carrier from the platform of the PPP however whatever he decides would be for the benefit of country.
Abdul Rehman Jamali, Zafarullah Jamali’s brother, General Secretary of PPP Balochistan Ayatullah Durrani and other provincial ministers of the party were also present at the occasion.
Earlier, Jamali had joined the Muttahida Muslim League (MML), which was a party formed after the coming together of several Pakistan Muslim League (PML) factions, headed by Pir Pagara.
However, after Jamali failed to get the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on board, he resigned as the convener of the steering committee of the MML.
