Relief to motorists

Letter June 13, 2017
On the other hand, the motorists should also drive responsibly

KARACHI: Ever since the road renovation projects began in Karachi they have been a huge cause of concern. Many motorists complain about the delays and traffic jams they cause. However, after nearly three months of tiring work, roads in some areas have been completed and have resulted in smooth flow of traffic. For instance, the University Road leading up to Karsaz and Rashid Minhas Road to Buffer Zone, previously used to have a heavy traffic flow causing jams that used to last for at least an hour. But now with the completion of the construction, the roads have been widened allowing a smooth flow of traffic which provides much relief to motorists. Besides, the newly constructed roads also add beauty to the city. The work of the provincial government is commendable and should be praised.

Hopefully, now that these roads have been constructed, the government concerned will also take the initiative to ensure the maintenance of these roads. On the other hand, the motorists should also drive responsibly.
