BISE Abbottabad raids to ‘close’ schools opened despite summer vacations

Primary schools to remain closed till August 30 and middle, high and secondary schools to remain close till August 15

HAVELIAN: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Abbottabad Secretary Dr Shaista Irshad on Saturday raided some schools in Tehsil Havelian which were still open despite being issued clear directions for closure due to summer vacations. She immediately ordered the schools to close as they were violating the vacation schedule of BISE Abbottabad, and directed them to close their schools as per schedule where primary schools will remain closed till August 30 and middle, high and secondary schools will remain close till August 15. She specified that violators would be dealt with heavy fines of Rs50,000 to Rs100,000 and disciplinary action would also be taken against them. Despite scorching heat in some parts of Tehsil Havelian private schools were not following the summer vacation plan which was highlighted by the parents and media. BISE took notice of the issue and started raiding such schools and penalised them severely.
