ISLAMABAD: Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of Islamabad police claimed to have arrested three alleged car lifters who used to sell stolen cars in league with some other accomplices, a police spokesman said.

He said that SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani had directed police officials to check incidents of car lifting.

A special team by SP (Investigation) Muhammad Hassan Iqbal was constituted under the charge of ACLC Sub-Inspector Liaquat Ali including sub-inspector Muneer Khan and others. This team succeeded in arresting the trio Jabber Hussain, Jameel Ahmed and Munawar Hussain and recovered three cars from their possession.

During preliminary investigation, they confessed to their crimes naming their other accomplices. Another police team has been constituted to arrest the nominated accomplices.
