Talking to newsmen in Lahore, he said, “I am surprised that up till now they [PML-N leaders] have not been served contempt of court notices, while in our [PPP] era we were served contempt notices every five minutes.”
He said, “When Shehbaz Sharif [chief minister of Punjab] talks directly against the Supreme Court then why isn’t any notice taken … why this discrimination?”
PPP will support institutions if govt confronts them: Bilawal
“It is the dream of Nawaz Sharif to become Ameerul Momineen, but we will not let his dream be fulfilled,” he said. “Even if he survives the Panamagate case, we will not let him become Ameerul Momineen.”
Challenging the ruling PML-N government, Bilawal said, “The PML-N will be surprised in the Senate election because they do not have as many members as they are claiming to have.”
PML-N’s own members will not stand by their side, he predicted.
Bilawal opens 100MW gas-fired power plant
According to sources in the PPP, Bilawal has urged PPP leaders and former parliamentarians to take appropriate action regarding PPP Punjab leaders leaving the party to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
He said he would meet the disgruntled party leaders and try to solve their issues.
According to our scribe from Islamabad, the PPP chairman will reach the capital on Tuesday (tomorrow) on a five-day visit. During his visit he will meet ambassadors from European and other important countries.
Bilawal will also meet the leadership of important political parties, including Balochistan National Party Awami and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam.
He will then visit Peshawar on Friday (June 16) on a two-day visit.
Apart from meeting the PPP Peshawar workers, he will also address a workers convention there.
