LAHORE : Ramazan is the month for prayer and self-reflection. But it’s also the ideal excuse for binge-eating deep fried pakoras and scrumptious samosas. Admit it: there is just no keeping away from these goodies, no matter how hard you try.
However, Mehreen Syed, one of the most prominent models in Pakistan, has her own way of regulating diet during the holy month.
The ace model revealed she likes to keep her routine simple in Ramazan. “I don’t commit to any shoots and I don’t work out either. Instead, I sometimes go for a walk after sehri, recite the Quran and catch up on sleep,” she shared.
When asked what her sehri includes, Syed added, “Parathas, eggs and yoghurt keep me going. I eat a light iftaar which usually includes steak with vegetables.” Not surprising, she makes sure her skin is refreshed by drinking lots of fresh juices and water post iftaar.
