Rain brings relief for twin cities

According to PMD a westerly wave was affecting upper and central parts of the country

ISLAMABAD:
A heavy shower with gusty winds on Thursday evening brought joy and relief for the citizens of the twin cities who were exasperated by soaring temperatures and power breakdowns in the fasting month.

According to PMD a westerly wave was affecting upper and central parts of the country which brought about rains, thunderstorm with strong winds.


The weatherman has predicted that current weather system was likely to persist during next two to three days, meaning more showers and cooler days.

The Met office further said that weather system which entered Pakistan on Thursday evening under the influence of this weather system was bring rain-dust storms and thunderstorm with gusts of strong winds over some upper and central parts of the country including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore and Faisalabad divisions.
