KARACHI:
Residents of Karachi heaved a sigh of relief as the soaring temperature was tempered by a scattering of rainfall Thursday morning.
Commenting on the change in weather, Pakistan Meteorological Department Spokesperson Shahid Abbas said, "The scattered rainfall struck various areas of the city including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Bahadurabad, Jail Chowrangi and Sharae Faisal". He added that the city's dry spell has been broken by the scattered rainfall.
Rains to improve water levels at major dams

The rain added to the city's traffic problems, as traffic movement was halted due to rainwater at many areas such as Bahadurabad and on Stadium Road.
