Chinese businessman lodges FIR against Pakistani partner

Liu Xiaolong accuses Ishtiaq Ali of cheating, ending agreement without notice

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have booked a businessman after his Chinese partner lodged a complaint against him for allegedly illegally dispossessing him.

Liu Xiaolong told the Kohsar police in his application that he entered an agreement with Ishtiaq Ali, the suspect, in December last year.

According to the agreement, Ali lent the Chinese national 3rd floor of a building in F-7 Markaz to run a hotel on partnership with profit to be equally shared by the two. Xiaolong says he also paid Rs1 million to Ali as security.

The agreement was for five years. “But now the owner cheating me and kick me out without any notice and any discuss. Now my everything in that building and he broken the agreement even not pay me back my security money Rs10,00,000 [sic],” the Chinese national maintained in his application to the police.

He also contacted the Chinese embassy but was told by the embassy to approach the police and the courts first.

He said Ali cheated him and has requested the police to recover his losses and security from Ali.

Kohsar police have registered a fraud case against the suspect and launched investigation.

citizen26 | 6 years ago | Reply High time that Pakistani people change their shortcut mentality and focus on more being just. Feel pain for the Chinese guy but sadly such incidents are already appening for several decades
