ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have booked a businessman after his Chinese partner lodged a complaint against him for allegedly illegally dispossessing him.

Liu Xiaolong told the Kohsar police in his application that he entered an agreement with Ishtiaq Ali, the suspect, in December last year.

According to the agreement, Ali lent the Chinese national 3rd floor of a building in F-7 Markaz to run a hotel on partnership with profit to be equally shared by the two. Xiaolong says he also paid Rs1 million to Ali as security.

Fraudsters a dime a dozen in Pakistan. Luckily in Pakistan a foreigner has a good chance of getting the benefit of doubt in court, unlike the situation in many East Asian and SE Asian countries where being a foreigner compromises one chances from the get go.Recommend

High time that Pakistani people change their shortcut mentality and focus on more being just. Feel pain for the Chinese guy but sadly such incidents are already appening for several decadesRecommend
