KARACHI: A 22-year-old barber was gunned down at his shop in Quaidabad on Sunday night in what police describe as a sectarian attack.

The Shah Latif Town police said two men riding a motorcycle arrived at Mohsin Abbas' shop in Quaidabad Bazaar, went inside and opened fire on him.

Two Hazara community members gunned down in Quetta

The police said the attack appeared to be sectarian in nature. Residents said Abbas might have been targeted because he played nohas at his shop.

Earlier on Sunday, two members of the Hazara community were gunned down in the Spini area of Quetta.

Hundreds of ethnic Hazaras, who are Shias by sect, have been killed in targeted bombings and drive-by shootings over the past few years in Balochistan.
