Speaking to the media-persons here, the minister said that Sharjeel was not directly involved in any corruption case nor had he taken any financial benefits during his tenure as minster.

Shah said that NAB prosecutor Altaf Khan had also confirmed, during the hearing of the bail application, that the bureau could not substantiate its claim that Sharjeel was directly involved in any graft case; but being a minister, he was responsible for putting a stop to corruption.
