The experts of Cotton Research Institute Faisalabad successfully developed a new cotton variety (FH-326) under the funding of Punjab Agricultural Research Board Project.
Ayyub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI) Faisalabad Director General Dr Abid Mahmood told The Express Tribune that cotton was the most important natural fibre producing crop in the world and represented a vital agricultural commodity in the global economy. Cotton and its products contribute 1.5% of GDP and more than 51% of Pakistan export earnings.
