This incredible image contains three mesmerising sights - the Northern Lights, a slow sunrise and the twinkling Milky Way. It was taken over far northern Russia during a night flight from Luxembourg to Komatsu, Japan, said Van Heijst, from the first officer's seat of a Boeing 747-8 cockpit.

JPC Van Heijst, pilot and photographer from Netherlands flies Boeing 747s around the world and shares stunning pictures of the incredible sights he sees from the cockpit.

This couple got married on Mount Everest and the pictures are breathtaking

"Seeing the entire world is my job, I feel privileged to be in a position to capture many different parts of the planet through my camera and immortalise the beauty of the places I visit," he said while speaking to Daily Mail.
