The holy month of Ramazan is upon us and Muslims across the world are busy in self-reflection, contemplation and devotion. However, for some who are busy with daily chores and commitments related to work, education or even family, finding time to reflect back may prove to be difficult and can leave them missing out on the spiritual benefits of the holy month.

Fortunately, technology is making it easier for us to keep track of our spiritual practices. Here are five apps that will make your spiritual journey easier this Ramazan:

1. iQuran Lite

Muslims around the world read the Holy Quran more frequently in Ramazan, the month when the holy book was first revealed. Having a ‘virtual’  Holy Quran makes it possible for a quick reading of a surah when you get the chance.

iQuran is among the best online versions of the Holy Quran available. The app provides the complete Holy Quran in Arabic along with its translation and a full set of audio recitation files. The Lite version of the app is available for free on Android and iOS devices.

2. Athan Ramadan

Athan Ramadan is a well-rounded app that combines everything you need on your spiritual journey in the holy month. The app provides accurate notification for prayer timings based on the user's location and a Mosque Finder feature to find the nearest mosque. In addition to this, users also get a calendar with Islamic days and a Prayer Book to help track their prayer performance.

Athan Ramadan can be downloaded on both Android and iOS devices and is available for free.

3. Muslim Pro - Ramadan 2017

This is another great app that combines some of the major features from individual apps on a single platform including a Qibla compass, prayer timings and a Hijri calendar. However what makes Muslim Pro stand out is the option of audio notifications of the Azaan on accurate prayer times and a virtual Holy Quran with audio files.

The app also has one of the biggest food database with over six million food items.
