Punjab Games to begin on Thursday
Nine regions confirm availability.

The Punjab Olympic Association (PbOA) will hold the 71st Punjab Games from April 7.
The games, comprising 3,000 athletes and officials and will take place on a self-finance basis. The event kept getting postponed due to lack of funds as the Punjab Sports Department refused to release the Rs5-million grant announced by the province’s chief minister.
The PbOA has now vowed to carry it though till the end. Nine regions are set to participate: Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sargodha.
