Pakistan is facing an acute cash crunch because rulers habitually steal money and send it abroad, PTI chief Imran Khan told a public gathering in Kandhkot on Wednesday.

He said that ultimately people paid the price of this pilferage of national resources.

Without naming either the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) or Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), he said that elements who yearned to come to power ‘by turns’ uttered almost the same mantra.

One of them, he said, had been raising the slogan of ‘Roti, Kapra aur Makan’, which had now become obsolete.

PTI chief Imran Khan said that he could now freely visit Sindh after having dealt with the Panamagate case. “I will extensively visit Sindh after Ramazan.”

Pakistanis ashamed at how PM Nawaz was treated in Saudi Arabia: Imran Khan

Expressing the hope that his party would come to power after next elections, he said that PTI’s prime minister would not beg for money. Others, he said, were used to seek loans and aid from other countries.

Terming Nawaz’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia a failure, he said that Nawaz was treated just like the extra (12th) player in the Arab-US summit held in Riyadh. According to him, US President Donald Trump mentioned India, but conveniently ignored Pakistan in his speech.

Criticising the PPP, he said that Sindh was deprived of development.

“Corruption will not stop unless the education system is improved. The unemployment rate is very high and the youth all want to go abroad to get jobs.” He said that as much as 45 per cent children were undernourished.

Sindh’s total development budget was just Rs230 billion.

“Money is not spent on people in this province. Sindh needs change most of all.”

Referring to the Supreme Court verdict in Panamagate case, he said that this was the first time ever that a prime minister was being investigated. “JIT is carrying out a criminal investigation of the PM. This was made possible only by the people who came out on the streets to protest. I see a new Pakistan in the making.”

Imran likens ‘political dynasties’ to East India Company

Shahbaz Sharif, he said, had made his task easier by filing a damages suit against him. Shahbaz, he said, did nothing but paid bribes over the past 30 years. He said that PTI had a new nickname for Shahbaz Sharif: ‘Drama Sharif’. “I am waiting to see him in the court.”

The government, Imran Khan said, was trying to gag social media by imposing restrictions. Social media, he said, was akin to a genie which had been let loose.

“This freedom cannot be reversed. If anyone wants to control social media, they will have to confiscate all cell phones.

He said that there were no FIRs against any of his political opponents in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, but there were many FIRs against him in Punjab.

Ghulam Nabi | 7 years ago | Reply From here,it seems that Pakistan is not an independent & democratic Muslim country but a fiefdom ruled by a couple of families who have reserved unto themselves all rights to plunder its wealth.Naturally one feels sympathy for the people there who have the misfortune of being lorded over by such unscrupulous thugs.
