PESHAWAR: The civil service represents the core foundation of the state and provides stability and continuity for governance and government operations.

This was stated by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra while addressing the graduation ceremony of 23rd Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) at the Governor House in Peshawar on Wednesday.

“The civil service must be politically impartial in order to assist the chief executive and the government of the day - whatever their political persuasion - with loyalty on one hand and to protect the interest and retain the confidence of the public on the other,” Jhagra said.

The governor congratulated all the participants of the course and later awarded certificates to them on successfully completing the course.

Earlier, National Institute of Management Director General
Nighat Mehroz gave a detailed presentation about the MCMC and stress upon the importance of the subject in civil services.

Faculty members, participants and their family members were all present at the award presentation ceremony.
