Prices to be controlled during Ramazan

Prices of fruits and vegetables would be decided on daily basis

KARACHI: In a meeting at Commissioner Office, it was decided that prices of fruits and vegetables would be enforced properly during the month of Ramazan. It was also decided that the supply of vegetables and fruits would be ensured in the Sabzi Mandi and other fruit markets. Prices of fruits and vegetables would be decided on daily basis and all the deputy commissioners in their respective districts would make those price lists public. Commissioner Ejaz Ahmed Khan said prices of food commodities would be strictly imposed during the holy month. Shopkeepers selling food items at prices higher than the prescribed rates would be dealt with strictly according to the law, Khan said.

Ali | 6 years ago | Reply Its not just this, even airlines have gone crazy and extorting high prices from people who want to travel back home for Eid. Government should intervene to normalise rates. This is just pure extortion, with no fear of the law or repercussions.
