Although the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have been largely dominating iPhone headlines, there is another edition that leads the way in terms of customer satisfaction.

According to a recent survey conducted by the American Consumer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), the iPhone SE has been ranked as the No 1 smartphone based on customer satisfaction.

Most phone makers have made a shift towards large screens, with the latest bezel-less screen becoming the trend in modern devices. However, this ASCI survey suggests that this trend may not be as popular with consumers with the iPhone SE scoring 87 out of 100 on the survey's consumer satisfaction index, beating out bigger and more premium models like the iPhone 7 Plus, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Note 5.

The SE's lower price is bound to make it a big factor in the higher satisfaction rates. The alternative argument is that perhaps iPhone SE users don't expect high-end features from the phone.

Although Apple was criticised for launching an updated ‘iPhone 5S version’ called the SE, the survey shows they weren’t wrong in doing so.

Technology giant Apple is expected to launch three new smartphones in September this year. With a report claiming that the new 10th-anniversary edition iPhone may cost a staggering $1,000 for the base model.
