Melania swats away Trump's hand once again

US First Lady quickly raised her hand to her head to brush her hair aside

US First Lady Melania Trump once again has appeared to refuse to hold Donald Trump's hand.

After causing a storm on social media on Monday, Melania was pictured once again brushing the US president's hand. This time, the couple was pictured after the Air Force One landed in Rome. Trump waved to the crowd and was seen reaching for his wife's left hand as they disembarked, but she quickly raised it to her head to brush her hair aside.

On Monday, after many viral and bizarre moments in Saudi Arabia during his first foreign tour, Trump landed in Tel Aviv, Israel. Trump and his wife Melania were welcomed by Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife after they disembarked from Air Force One.



As they walked on the tarmac, the US president who was walking half a step in front of his wife, reached out behind to hold Melania’s hand. However, in a moment captured by cameras from different angles, Melania seemed to brush his hand away from hers, not letting him hold her hand.

Melania has been a source of discussion during her husband’s first trip as president. She came under scrutiny when she chose to forego the headscarf while in Saudi Arabia, something her husband had criticised previous First Lady Michelle Obama for doing.
