ICI Pakistan acquires certain assets of Wyeth, Pfizer

KARACHI: ICI Pakistan Limited has completed Asset Purchase Agreements with Wyeth Pakistan Limited and Pfizer Pakistan Limited for the acquisition of certain assets at an aggregate purchase price of Rs1.91 billion, according to ICI handout issued on Monday.

The assets being acquired by ICI Pakistan through the transaction include a Wyeth Pakistan-owned pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Karachi along with some popular and well-established products and registrations.

In addition, two products and registrations of Pfizer Pakistan are also included in the acquisition, it added. The transaction is now set to move ahead, subject to requisite regulatory approvals.
