Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was caught photobombing a high school prom pre-party photo shoot.

The teenagers were preparing to go to the prom when they saw Trudeau jogging near by and welcomed the unexpected guest. Trudeau was running along Vancouver's Stanley Park Seawall where the students stopped him for a photograph. trudeau-prom (1)

Justin Trudeau took his three-year-old to work and the pictures are heart-warming

One of the students, Constantine Maragos, said "We were just taking photos and hanging around talking, and then Trudeau, he just comes running. At first, we were like, 'Why is the prime minister of Canada running the seawall? And then we started yelling for Trudeau to get in the photo."

The photographs were tweeted out by the prime minister's official photographer, Adam Scotti, who captioned the moment as "Prom season in #Vancouver". In the photograph it appears that Trudeau is photobombing the prom picture, however, a student told the CBC that they had begged Trudeau to join the photo shoot.

This is not the first instance where the prime minister has appeared in a photograph unexpectedly. In a similar incident last year he had been photographed shirtless on a beach behind a bride as she had walked down the aisle.
