Most of the people injured in the blasts were women and children.
One of them took place outside a school in the Zarif Kor area, injuring a watchman and damaging the school's gate which prompted the authorities to shut it down.

"An improvised explosive device planted in front of a private school in Zarif Kor in the jurisdiction of the Sro Kali Police Station went off at around 6.30 am before the school's opening time," said Inam Jan, a police officer.
Police and other law-enforcement agencies cordoned off the area to conduct a search operation whereas the injured watchman, identified as Zakaria, was shifted to the Shabqadar hospital.
A grenade was lobbed at the house of a travel agent, Sakhi Jan, by unidentified attackers in the Miro Kali police station area. The blast injured his son Bashir Jan.
Grenade attack in Mohmand Agency
In Mosal Kor, Mohmand Agency, two kilometres away from the school blast area, some miscreants lobbed grenades at the house of Zakir Khan. The attack injured eight people, all of them women and children, as they slept in the courtyard of their home, political administration officials said.

They were taken to Peshawar for treatment and some of them are in a serious condition. Areas bordering Mohmand, Charsadda and Peshawar have been affected by violence for a long time.
