Remove encroachments or face action, traders warned

Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) has given deadline to traders for removing encroachments voluntarily from the city bazaars in 24-hours or strict action will be taken against them.

A TMA spokesperson said on Wednesday that a comprehensive strategy had been evolved for crackdown against the encroachers in the area. He added the operation will be led by Sargodha Mayor Malik Aslam Naveed.

He maintained all stakeholders had been taken on board to voluntarily remove illegal encroachment in front of their businesses to avoid any inconvenience within 24-hours.

He said the mayor had conducted various meetings with the traders association for solution of the problem on permanent basis.

He pointed out that banners had been displayed in the markets for removing encroachments, adding strict action would be taken against those elements who failed to cooperate with the administration.
