PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has failed to deliver in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, while the province’s problems have increased under its government, said akistan Peoples Party leader Asif Ali Zardari said on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media after meeting Awami National Party (ANP) leader Ghulam Ahmad Bilour at his home, Zardari said, “There is no change in the province. The PTI government has failed to deliver.”

Zardari, who is visiting Peshawar to mobilise provincial leaders and workers for the next general elections, also said that he bore no personal grudge against Imran Khan, the chief of PTI. He maintained his party will continue to struggle for nation’s prosperity and to empower the masses.

Turning his attention to the federal government, the former president said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was “trapped in a very difficult situation” and it seemed unlikely that he would be able to complete his last year in office.

Praising the ANP leader he was visiting, Zardari said his family has had a longstanding relationship with Bilour and had learned a lot from him during his lifelong political career.

He added he has always given huge respect and honour to the people of K-P.

PPP leader and former information minister Qamar Zaman Kaira, ANP leader Ilyas Bilour, and other politicians were also present.
