KARACHI: After the grand success of Desan Da Raja (Soni Kuri) from Cornetto Pop Rock season one, musician Qurram Hussain is back with yet another smashing track for season two of the hit show.

This time, the Pakistani-Canadian singer – who is one half of the band JoSH – has partnered with Maria Unera of Nescafe Basement fame for the romantic song Ajaana, stated a press release. Qurram claims that he picked Maria because he sees her becoming a star someday. “I’ve heard Maria sing her own compositions and have great respect for those who compose and produce their own music. I have been doing this for JoSH for the last two decades,” he stated. According to the Aaye Mausam hit-maker, it is the moral and professional duty of every artist to promote young talent.

The video for Ajaana has been shot in Karachi and Lahore by Amaan Ahmed, who directed Desan Da Raja (Soni Kuri) with Qurram and Komal Rizvi as well.  In fact, it went on to win the Google Award for being the fourth most watched YouTube video in Pakistan last year. Both Qurram and Maria appear in Ajaana, the concept of which is all about true love. “It shows how we – Maria and I – are strongly connected to one another without actually being together,” he said.

Although the song is yet to be released, Qurram’s team has told his fans to keep on a look out as it will be out soon as the video is completed.
