RAWALPINDI: A physically challenged journalist was robbed on Wednesday in a busy commercial area.

Nayyar Javaid, currently working with Radio Pakistan, told the police that two unidentified men snatched his cash when he came out of an ATM booth in Commercial Market near the New Town police station.

Police have registered the complaint and started an investigation.

Meanwhile, talking to The Express Tribune, the victim narrating his ordeal said that he uses braces to walk and could not resist when a man in pink clothes snatched the cash from him.

Nayyer said he had given to the police the registration number of the motorbike the mugger used to flee the scene.

He said that he also informed the police that the man peeped into the ATM booth when he was withdrawing the cash.

He said that the police could get CCTV footage from the bank to identify the robber.
