Dawn Leaks notification: PM advises Nisar to remove all ambiguities

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yet again on Monday to discuss issues surrounding a notification with regard to the Dawn Leaks controversy in the light of recommendations by an inquiry committee.

This was Nisar’s fourth meeting with the premier in the last three days, with the two sides having already held three consultative sessions on the issue on Friday and Saturday.

According to Express News, the two key functionaries discussed the issues related to the final notification on the Dawn Leaks controversy. The new notification is expected to come out soon. The PM advised Nisar to remove any ambiguity regarding the new notification, the TV channel reported.

Govt to allay military’s concerns on Dawn Leaks

On Thursday, the PM also discussed the issue with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif was also present in the meeting. Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb had said on Sunday that the interior ministry would issue the related notification in two to three days.
