FESCO to install new transformers

Spokesperson says power transformer of 20/26-MVA at Pir Mehal would be replaced with 40-MVA capacity power transformer

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) is all set to install double capacity power transformers at 132-KV Pir Mehal grid station.

Spokesperson for Fesco said on Saturday that earlier power transformer of 20/26-MVA was working at Pir Mehal grid station whereas now this power transformer would be replaced with a 40-MVA capacity power transformer.

For this purpose, power supply from Iqbal Ashraf Shaheed, Sandhilianwali, Kamalia Road, Akarad Textile, Kareem Bukhsh and Pir Mehal city feeders from 132-KV Pir Mehal grid station will remain suspended for 18 hours from 6:00 am to 12:00 midnight on Sunday (May 7).
