KARACHI: Trade Development Authority Pakistan (TDAP) recently held the first EPC meeting of the pharmaceutical sector in Karachi. A delegation, led by Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturer and Exporters Association (PPMA) chairman, visited TDAP and had a meeting with the TDAP secretary. During the meeting, the issues relating to the pharmaceutical exports were discussed in detail. TDAP secretary commented that statistics pertaining to the exports of Pakistan’s pharmaceutical products barely depict the true potential of the industry. Pharmaceutical products have tremendous potential to capture international markets with concentrated efforts by both government and private sector. He assured TDAP’s complete support in identifying new markets by sending exploratory delegations with the assistance of trade missions abroad.
