VJ Madiha Imam's Bollywood debut 'Dear Maya' is going to leave you in awe

Pakistani VJ Madiha Imam is all set to star in her Bollywood debut with none other than veteran star Manisha Koirala.

The movie, titled, Dear Maya stars Madiha and Manisha in titular roles.

Playing a 16-year old, Madiha has managed to grab the spotlight in a 2 minute trailer. The trailer also shows a very aged Manisha, who is search of true love.

A while back, when the 46-year-old actor was asked about the movie, she had told IANS, “Well this movie has an interesting script. This is not my second innings. I was always here… And I am around, but yes I will do one film in a year.”

Dear Maya is Manisha's return to the big screen. She will next be seen in Sanjay Dutt's biopic where she will play the character of Nargis Dutt.

Talking to The Indian Express, the Gupt star revealed she was honoured to play Nargis on screen.



“Whenever I see a cancer survivor today, it is already a relieving moment for me, and I am affected by it any which ways. So when I will be performing Nargis Dutt on screen for the Sanjay Dutt biopic, I haven’t performed yet, of course I will be revisiting that. It is a great opportunity to be playing Nargis Dutt and it is a great honour. She is a legendary figure and I hope I do justice to the chance that I’m given,” she said.

Dear Maya is slated to release on June 2nd.
