MULTAN: A woman's body was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her home in Okara District on Wednesday after she was allegedly strangled to death by her husband with the help of her in-laws.

The victim has been identified as Kausar Bibi. Her husband, Sajid, mother-in-law, Khurshid Bibi, and brother-in-law, Muhammad Nadeem, have been booked by the Deepalpur police on the complaint of Kausur's brother, Muhammad Arif.

Arif claimed that his sister had not killed herself and her husband and in-laws had tried to make it look like a suicide case to cover up the murder.

Police said Sajid had confessed to his crime. The motive behind the murder was yet to be ascertained by the time this report was filed.

The police are further investigating the case.
