Illegal weapons: 115 suspects detained in April alone

Two Kalashnikovs, three riffles, five guns, three revolvers, 98 pistols and 544 bullets were seized from them.

LAHORE: Around 115 suspects were arrested and cases were registered against them for their alleged involvement in possession of illegal weapons during the month of April. This was stated by SP City Division Adil Memon on Monday. Two Kalashnikovs, three riffles, five guns, three revolvers, 98 pistols and 544 bullets were seized from them. During the crackdown against drug dealers, the police registered 186 cases, arrested 187 suspects and recovered 105 kilogrammes of hashish, 25 grams of opium and 856 litres of liqour. They also arrested 10 proclaimed offender of category A, 31 of category B, 206 court absconders and 149 TOs. Furthermore, 42 members of 16 members of a gang of robbers were arrested and valuables worth Rs153,3500 were confiscated from them.
