Over 66,000 candidates set to appear in inter exams under Rawalpindi board

The Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) annual intermediate exams under the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) will start in the division from May 6.

According to RBISE Chairman Dr Muhammad Zareef, arrangements have been made to ensure the examinations are conducted transparently and smoothly. A total of 190 examination centres have been set up out of which 36 are in Chakwal, 25 in Jhelum, and 99 in Rawalpindi. From among the 190 centres, 98 are for females, 75 are for males, and 17 are combined.

Zareef also said that special control rooms have been set up in four districts of the division to facilitate the students.  Moreover, he said a special cell had been set up, any complaints regarding the examination centre could be faxed to on the fax number: 051-5450912. The chairman assured that he would take action against all complaints.


Roll number slips have already been dispatched to the students by the Board. Roll number slips of private candidates have been sent to their mentioned addresses while slips of regular candidates were dispatched to their institutes.

Apart from the Board’s office at Morgah near the Attock Oil Refinery in Rawalpindi, the students can also contact controller examinations on the phone (051-5450917-18) in case they do not receive their roll number slips.

Zareef said that 66034 candidates including 43026 regular and 23008 private would appear in the exams while 190 superintendents, 207 deputy superintendents and 190 invigilators have been appointed for the exams.
