While talking to media at the JI secretariat in Charsadda on Sunday, he rejected the statement K-P CM had given on the floor of the house over Mashal’s murder. Mushtaq added that no one should call Mashal a martyr or a blasphemer till the completion of the investigation into his murder.
The JI leader while condemning the recent statements about amendments to the blasphemy law advised them not to play with the public’s sentiment over the law.

However, while talking about Mashal’s murder he said no mob or individual has the right to kill anyone and take the law into their hands.
Meanwhile, local clerics and political parties on Saturday urged the authorities to release those who have been arrested in Mashal Khan’s case.
The meeting which was held in Charsadda and was also attended by JUI-F’s MNA Maulana Gauhar Shah, former lawmaker Ghulam Sadiq, former senator Hafiz Rashed, JI Charsadda Amir Muhammad Riaz Khan and others called for a protest on Friday, May 5, for their release.
