Teenager worker says he wanted money so that he could take his sick mother to hospital

MULTAN: A brick kiln owner unleashed his dog on a teenage labourer for demanding his unpaid wages in Kabirwala, District Khanewal on Sunday.

Nawan Shehar Police said Sajid Ali, 18, a resident of Salarwahan, worked at a brick kiln owned by Rafeeullah.

Ali asked Rafeeullah to pay him his last three months' unpaid wages and also demanded a raise. An infuriated Rafeeullah let loose his pet on the labourer.

Police said the dog mauled the teenager, who was shifted to the Districts Headquarter Hospital Kabirwala.

Sajid told The Express Tribune at the hospital that he was asking for his outstanding wages but the owner had refused to pay him. "My mother is suffering from a kidney disease and I wanted money so I could take her to the Nishtar Hospital Multan, but instead of paying me my wages, Rafeeullah let his dog loose on me," he added.

Police said they had taken Rafeeullah into custody and were interrogating him.

Amir | 7 years ago | Reply offcourse the owner will turn out to be associated with any political party, will have police force protecting him. and will be out harassing others for a long time. a true pillar and eg of Pakistan. Why I say this? Look what is the outcome of Kasur tragedy. for our Media it is a present event. no follow ups no reports on the outcome, except they are free.
