India hands over Pakistani teen who inadvertently crossed border

India's Border Security Force (BSF) has handed over a Pakistani teenager who had traversed into the country's territory unintentionally in the Abohar sector in Indian Punjab, The Times of India reported on Saturday.

The Pakistani national, who has been identified as 15-year-old Razak from Kasur District, was apprehended by Indian troopers on Friday in the area of Sowar Wali in Abohar sector.

BSF deputy inspector general RS Kataria said the Pakistani teenager had crossed the International Boundary, entered the Indian territory and reached near the border security fence.



"The Pakistan Rangers were contacted on Saturday and the apprehended Pakistani national was handed over to them being an inadvertent border crosser on humanitarian grounds," he added..

This year, the BSF has handed over seven Pakistani inadvertent border-crossers to the Pakistan Rangers.
