The Maritime Security Agency had taken the Indian men into custody on Thursday and impounded five fishing boats for 'illegally' fishing into exclusive economic zone. Later, they were handed over to the Docks police, which booked and arrested them in a case registered under the Foreigners Act, 1946.
On Friday, the police produced the suspects before the West judicial magistrate.

The magistrate remanded them to jail for 15 days and directed the investigation officer to submit a final charge-sheet against them in court on the next date of hearing.
This is the second time in a month that Pakistani forces have arrested Indian fishermen. On March 26, Pakistani authorities had detained 100 Indian fishermen.
