Hadiqa Kiani has just surprised us with her second track from her new album WAJD and it’s even better than the first one!

The recently released song is of The Sindhi Chapter which is also a tribute to Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai features live instruments and no auto-tunes. Hadiqa announced the track on her official Twitter handle, posting:

Talking about her latest track, Hadiqa took to Facebook to express how much the song is close to her heart.

"After "The Saraiki Chapter" from WAJD crossed 1 Million views, we are officially releasing "The Sindhi Chapter!" This single, which pays tribute to Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, is very close to my heart, I have aimed to sing solely with my soul, as my spectacular musicians have played their instruments with their souls, and I hope that that comes through to you through this performance. Love," she wrote.

The album compilation has been produced, mastered, mixed and recorded by leading music producer and Hadiqa’s long-time collaborator and brother Irfan Kiani.

As per a previousl press release, WAJD – Volume 1 will introduce eight tracks recorded in pure organic form in a live studio format, encapsulating the individuality of each featured musician and their respective instrument.

WAJD is not only an audio album but a musical journey that aims to explore lost traditions, the freedom of ownership of the Eastern folk tradition, the individuality of each artist and instrument-free from the superficial and over-processing of digital recording and the stripping away of grandiose arrangements to reveal a simple layer of musical truth,” said Hadiqa.

Bhit Ja Bhitai, the Sindhi chapter of the album, is soulful and calming. Listen to the song here:
