Gulfaraz procured Rs7.1 million illegally with the active connivance of corrupt AJK Tourism Department officials

MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Accountability Bureau on Thursday arrested a contractor on corruption charges after his bail before arrest was cancelled by an accountability court in Mirpur, said a spokesperson of the bureau.

“Gulfaraz managed to procure Rs7.1 million illegally with the active connivance of some corrupt officials of the AJK Tourism Department,” spokesperson of the accountability bureau said in a statement issued on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the AJK Accountability Bureau was in constant efforts to arrest other people involved in the case, the spokesperson added.
