MIRPUR: Under the spirit to encourage and promote sports activities, Mirpur Development Authority (MDA) has reserved a site for establishing a sports complex in the city soon.
According to officials, in response to the requirement by AJK Sports Board, MDA reserved 22 kanal land at upcoming Mujahid Town, Phase II on Mian Muhammad Road, close to Mirpur Cricket Stadium for the sports complex.
The AJK Sports Board had demanded only six kanals land for the complex. "But since the space was considered to small, the MDA decided to reserve and allot a piece of land comprising 20 kanals for the complex."
