Such unity on Shab-e-Mairaj day shows how people can peacefully unite and observe their faith
KARACHI: Shab-e-Mairaj, the night of ascension, was observed on the 25th of April across Pakistan and Muslim countries with religious sanctity and fervour. The believers offered special prayers in mosques and at home seeking the mercy and forgiveness of Almighty Allah. During this night, ulema discuss the incident of Mairaj and highlight its importance in the teachings of Islam. Different Islamic and socio-cultural organisations also arrange religious gatherings on the night. Such unity on this day shows how people can peacefully unite and observe their faith. We should also pray and hope to live in a world where religion does not create barriers and boundaries but instead unites people.
