Italian army chief calls on Gen Qamar Bajwa

Italian military head met Gen Qamar at GHQ to discuss enhanced military cooperation

Italian Chief of Army Staff General Danilo Errico called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, on Wednesday, to acknowledge Pakistan’s efforts in eliminating terrorism while lauding the results of Operation Raddul Fasaad.

According to the military’s media wing, the head of the Italian military expressed his appreciation for Pakistan Army’s efforts against terrorism during a meeting with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.



During the meeting, the Army chief and his Italian counterpart discussed matters of mutual interest with particular reference to enhanced military cooperation in the field of training and counter-terror domains. The visiting dignitary was also given a detailed briefing on operation and training activities of the Pakistan Army.

Earlier upon his arrival at the GHQ, General Errico lay a floral wreath at ‘Yadgar-e-Shuhada’ while a contingent of the Pakistan Army presented him with the guard of honour.
