WhatsApp just added cool features for iPhone users
iOS users will now be able to ask Apple’s digital assistant Siri to read out their latest WhatsApp messages to them
It seems that checking messages on WhatsApp is going to be lot more convenient for iPhone users, thanks to a new update.
According to MacRumors, iOS users will now be able to ask Apple’s digital assistant Siri to read out their latest WhatsApp messages to them.
Earlier, iOS users were able ask Siri to send messages and make calls on WhatsApp after the Facebook-owned messaging platform added support for the digital assistant last year. All users had to say, “Hey Siri, text Mr A on WhatsApp.”
WhatsApp testing new feature which will let users revoke sent messages
Now WhatsApp has added support for reading messages as well. To get Siri read messages for you, all you have to say, “Hey Siri, read my latest WhatsApp messages.”
The new feature is available for those having WhatsApp’s version 2.17.2 and running at least iOS 10.3 on their devices.
Besides this, other changes that came with the latest update include the ability to select multiple statuses at once and forward or revoke them. Further, the old Voice Call icon has been replaced with a "+" icon. When you tap the new icon, it displays a list of contacts for making both voice and video calls.
New feature may allow you to change your WhatsApp number without any hassle
WhatsApp has also added support for the Persian language to the chat service.
Earlier, @WABetaInfo, a Twitter account that monitors WhatsApp’s developments, reported that the messaging app is testing a new “Change Number” feature in its beta version. Users will easily be able to notify their contacts about the change in phone number using the new feature. The groups that users are included in will also be notified.
