Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, on Tuesday, labelled Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) the symbol of change, saying 100 recreation grounds are being established to sharpen the talent of young sportsmen.

"The youth must have playgrounds to be able to demonstrate their talent and I praise the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government for taking the initiative to establish 100 grounds," Imran said while addressing the participants for the under-23 games in Peshawar. He added that players for the event will be selected from across the country.

Sports, Imran said, hold vital importance in life as they train us to win as well as lose. "One who does not bow down to his defeats, is able to stand up again," he said. "The higher the ambitions, the bigger the zeal for success."

The PTI chairman said life is the name of struggle and champions are those who never accept defeat. "I would never have been able to build Shaukat Khanum Hospital to treat cancer patients had I not struggled through the game of cricket," he remarked.

Responding to the slogan "go-Nawaz-go" being chanted in the crowd, Imran said "it was not a national anthem" and added "save it for Friday," referring to the planned rally by the party against corruption in wake of the Panamagate verdict.

Political parties have escalated their campaign against the ruling PML-N government following the Panamagate verdict on April 20 which ruled that the PM and his sons, Hasan and Hussain, will have to appear 'as and when required' before a Joint Investigation Team (JIT).

The apex court, however, did not disqualify the PM, citing absence of adequate evidence in the case. The top court has given the JIT two months to complete its probe in the case.
