Spain calls for resolving the long-standing dispute of Kashmir as per UN resolutions
Spain on Monday expressed reservations over the ongoing human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) and called for resolving the long-standing dispute as per UN resolutions. “The Kashmir dispute should be resolved according to the United Nations’ (UN) resolution,” said Spain’s Ambassador to Pakistan Carlos Morales while delivering a lecture organised by the Spanish Language Department of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) at the varsity on Monday. He also expressed concerns over the gross human rights violations in the disputed Himalayan region which has seen an uptick in recent weeks. Morales said that the European Union and Pakistan have been enjoying strong diplomatic, economic and trade relations for some time now with the EU currently the third largest market for Pakistani commodities in the world. He was of the view that in recent years, the volume of Pakistani exports in the European markets had risen manifolds.
